THE GIRL WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH THE MOON

The Human Zoo Theatre Company from Wellingborough

NEW DIORAMA THEATRE

7:30pm
Price: £10, £8.50 concs

It wasn't a particularly spectacular night, as she sat star-gazing in her room...

Join this tattered troupe as Luna's tragic tale unravels for the first time. But why tonight? A patchwork of puppetry, poetry, movement and live music stitched together with The Human Zoo's explosive visual imagination. The Girl Who Fell in Love With The Moon sets out to explore humanity's eternal fascination with the skies through the eyes of this playful and dynamic young ensemble.

‘It is performed with panache as the company weaves its magic on the audience who were totally absorbed and enthralled. This is certainly a must-see show.’ ★★★★★ British Theatre Guide

‘Breathlessly inventive and thoroughly entertaining’ ★★★★ The List

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Over the past 2 and a half years, Human Zoo has created 3 productions, touring to over 20 arts venues across the UK; Monotone Man, commissioned by Lyric Hammersmith, Greenwich Int Festival, Watford Palace and Latitude, The Hive in association with Jacksons Lane and The Girl Who Fell in Love With The Moon which enjoyed a five star run at EdFringe and was supported by The Castle in Wellingborough, where they are now a resident company.

PROGRAMMER'S NOTE

I first saw Human Zoo when they were performing their futuristic epic, The Hive: a piece carried off with huge ambition and skill. Since the company have gone from strength to strength - delivering their work all over the country and winning the 2014 Les Enfants Terribles Prize. Following their sell-out, five star run at the Edinburgh I’m looking forward to bringing their latest show to London audiences.

CREATIVITY IN WELLINGBOROUGH

The Human Zoo Theatre Company come from a variety of non-traditional training backgrounds including Fourth Monkey Theatre Company, NYT, Authentic Artist Collective and Roundhouse Circus Arts training. They recently became a resident theatre company at The Castle in Wellingborough, where they are currently devising their new show, GIANT.
